Weather Report

Oh, yes. I do like to talk about the weather. I think most other people do too. It is the one thing we all have in common, and even if we don't know someone, we always have something to talk about.

So here's the report for Northern Colorado. On Monday the temp got up to 77. Today, Tuesday, it may get up over 70 again. But tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 40s again with a possibility of snow that night. This IS springtime in Colorado. It will get down below freezing a couple nights this week.

Gradually, though, it is warming up. I've had the front door open a few times this past week or two. I see some spring flowers have come up and some of the bushes have leaves. I am looking forward to being able to have a picnic here at a park and at a place up near Estes Park. Warm weather is coming. Of course, I don't want the temp to get above 80-85. It will.

Here in Northern Colorado the temp goes above 100 usually a few times during the summer. In Pueblo where I'm from it goes above 100 five to ten days during the summer. Too hot. At least now we are living in a duplex that has an air conditioner. Because it keeps the house cool enough, I can turn on my oven in the summer without making us sweat for the entire day and part of night because of it.

Summer is good except for the heat. Without the heat I suppose it wouldn't be summer. Sigh.

Come visit me in the summer and than you will freeze when you get home. We usually don't turn on the AC until July, unless my folks come to visit...it's kinda a contest to see how long we can stand it. The kids are wimps, first day out of school and they want the air on. and they grew up here! Last summer was the first summer that I didn't die from the weather (heat humidity)it only took 6 years!

I hope you have a comfortable summer :)

Julie you crack me up because I'd say the same thing. I keep our AC set at 78-79 during the summer. We freeze at the grocery store and other places. But when we are working hard outside and walk inside to our 78-79 temps it actually feels cool for a few minutes and then we realize we need to go to the basement.

Today has been perfect other than the wind. But just right temps. I love 70's temps.

To quote an elderly mentally ill woman, "There's no such thing as good or bad weather. Just different kinds of weather."
