I only got through the letter "J", so there will another list someday. I love hymns. They are part of our Christian heritage in this country and they speak to me.

We never sang this in our church, but I love A Mighty Fortress is Our God. All of the verses.
Great is Thy Faithfulness is another long time favorite.
I remember when I was young my favorite was Beaulah Land, just because I missed our old town of Beulah so much. There was nothing spiritual at all in that choice.
I love the old hymns. I like some of the praise songs unless they just keep repeating the same three words over and over. They must have some substance and message to them.
I love hymns too - sometimes we skip a verse or two and I feel cheated, so I have to read them over to myself.
An old friend once told me she's glad she isn't the third verse of a hymn because it is always left out.
